These General Terms and Conditions (Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen, "AGB") apply to all services provided by Laghbani Consulting. By using our consulting services, online or offline, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Scope of Application

1.1

These Terms apply to all services provided by Laghbani Consulting, a sole proprietorship based in Switzerland (full statutory identification is set out in our Imprint).

1.2

By using our consulting services, online or offline, clients agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1.3

Any deviations, additional agreements or modifications require written confirmation by Laghbani Consulting.

For reference on Swiss business regulations, see the Swiss Code of Obligations.

2. Services

2.1

Laghbani Consulting offers advisory and consulting services for students, mainly from the GCC region, who wish to study in Germany.

2.2

Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Consultation on study opportunities in Germany
  • Assistance with application processes
  • Student support and troubleshooting
  • Assistance with prerequisites such as blocked accounts and health insurance
  • Visa guidance and support
  • Pre-departure briefings and settlement advice
2.3

Laghbani Consulting does not guarantee admission to any university, approval of visas or other outcomes beyond our advisory scope.

3. Contract Formation

3.1

A user relationship is initiated when the client creates an account on the Laghbani Consulting Portal (portal.laghbani-consulting.com) and provides their personal information.

3.2

A binding contract for paid services is formed when the client selects a package on the website and successfully completes the corresponding payment through the online system.

3.3

After successful payment, the client is asked to sign a power of attorney document sent by email within their online account workflow. The client must review and sign this document electronically in order for Laghbani Consulting to represent them before third-party institutions.

3.4

By signing the power of attorney, the client authorises Laghbani Consulting to communicate and act on their behalf, strictly within the scope of the booked services, in particular with universities, Studienkollegs, embassies, foreign offices, blocked-account providers, health insurance companies, language schools and other relevant organisations. Laghbani Consulting uses this authorisation exclusively in the client's interest.

3.5

If the client is under 18, the contract and power of attorney must be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian, who is then the contracting party, with the student as beneficiary of the services.

3.6

Without a duly signed power of attorney (or, for minors, one signed by a parent or legal guardian), Laghbani Consulting may be unable to fully represent the client before third-party institutions, which may limit the scope and effectiveness of the services.

4. Prices and Payment Terms

4.1

All prices are listed on our website or in individual offers and are in Euros (€) unless otherwise stated.

4.2

Payments are made online via the options available on our website, through a third-party payment processor that handles transactions securely.

4.3

Full payment is required before service provision unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4.4

Payment processing is handled by a third-party payment processor. Laghbani Consulting does not store full payment-card details.

5. Refund and Cancellation Policy

5.1

Where the client has subscribed to a package and the only work carried out is an initial review of the client's documents, a full refund is granted on written request.

5.2

Once work has begun on the client's file, fees are non-refundable, with one exception: a student visa that Laghbani Consulting files on the client's behalf and which is refused. In that event, the Visa to Residency package is refunded less a €50 fee, and on the Premium package the €849 second instalment is refunded while the first instalment is non-refundable. The Pre-Arrival and Studienkolleg packages do not include visa filing and are non-refundable once work has begun.

5.3

The €300 deposit for the Partner Perks package is refunded in full once the student enrols at a partner university, or may instead be applied as a €300 discount toward the Visa to Residency package. If the student neither enrols nor continues, the deposit is not refunded, as the work has already been performed.

5.4

If a client fails to provide required documents or necessary cooperation, no refund is issued for work already performed.

5.5

Refund requests must be made in writing to services@laghbani-consulting.com. See the full Refund Policy for details.

5.6

Applications to medical universities carry a €250 surcharge for the additional work involved. This surcharge does not apply to medical Studienkolleg (foundation year) applications and is disclosed before payment.

5.7

The €79 consultation fee is credited in full toward the package price if the client proceeds to purchase a package. The consultation fee itself is not refundable once the session has taken place.

6. No Liability & Guarantees

6.1

Laghbani Consulting provides consulting and support services based on its professional expertise but does not guarantee any specific outcome, including admission, visa approval, blocked account opening, health insurance acceptance or any decision made by third-party institutions.

6.2

The client is solely responsible for complying with the terms, rules, deadlines and payment obligations of third-party providers such as universities, embassies, foreign offices, banks (including blocked accounts), health insurance companies, language schools and other institutions.

6.3

Laghbani Consulting is not liable for any damage, loss, rejection, delay, cancellation, penalty or additional cost arising from the client's failure to comply with third-party requirements or from decisions, actions or omissions of third-party providers and authorities.

6.4

Laghbani Consulting acts exclusively in an advisory and supportive capacity and is not a contracting party between the client and any third-party provider; responsibility for the performance of contracts and services lies solely with the respective third party.

6.5

The client must inform Laghbani Consulting promptly and in writing of any issues, rejections, warnings, payment problems or other difficulties with third-party providers; failure to communicate such problems does not create any liability for Laghbani Consulting.

6.6

To the maximum extent permitted by law, any liability of Laghbani Consulting is excluded for indirect or consequential damages and, in any case, is limited to the amount of the fees paid by the client for the specific service concerned.

7. Data Protection

7.1

Laghbani Consulting collects and processes client data in accordance with Swiss data protection law (FADP) and, where applicable, the GDPR.

7.2

Detailed information on how personal data is processed is set out in our Privacy Policy.

7.3

To help students understand application processes and document formats, Laghbani Consulting may use fully redacted (anonymised) versions or small extracts of client-provided documents as examples ("Sample Materials"), for example passports, residence papers, secondary-school certificates and visa pages, only to demonstrate format and requirements.

7.4

Sample Materials are shown only inside the student portal to authenticated users and/or during private one-to-one consultations. They are never posted publicly.

7.5

Before any Sample Materials are used, Laghbani Consulting ensures no identifying information is visible and that the material cannot reasonably be used to identify the client or any third party, by removing or irreversibly masking names, photos, signatures, dates of birth, addresses, contact details, document numbers, MRZ lines, QR codes and any other detail that could enable re-identification. Cropped extracts are preferred over full pages, and file metadata is removed.

7.6

Only the minimum content necessary to illustrate the example is used. Sample Materials are used solely for educational guidance and internal quality and training.

7.7

Appropriate technical and organisational security measures protect documents and Sample Materials and restrict access to authorised persons. Portal users may not copy, download, screenshot, record, reproduce or share Sample Materials outside the portal or the one-to-one consultation.

7.8

If a document cannot be fully redacted to prevent identification, it is not used as Sample Material unless the client provides explicit, prior written consent. Refusal does not affect the scope, price or quality of services.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1

All materials provided by Laghbani Consulting, including documents, presentations, guides and templates, remain our intellectual property.

8.2

Clients may not reproduce, distribute or share these materials outside the scope of their own personal use without our prior written permission.

9. Promotions, Discount Codes and Sibling Discount

Plain-language summary: only one promotion can be used per booking. The sibling discount cannot be combined with coupon codes, referral rewards or any other discount. If you take one, you waive the others for that booking.
9.1

Definitions. Laghbani Consulting may offer promotional discount codes ("Coupon Codes"), referral rewards, seasonal promotions, sibling or family discounts, partner or institutional discounts and any other price-reduction mechanism (collectively, "Promotions"). All Promotions are issued at our sole discretion and are subject to the conditions stated at the time of the offer and to these Terms.

9.2

One Promotion per booking (no stacking). Unless we explicitly state otherwise in writing in the offer, only one Promotion may be applied to any single booking. Promotions may not be combined, stacked, layered or applied together. The client must choose one.

9.3

Sibling discount, eligibility. Where offered, the sibling discount applies only to direct biological or legally adopted siblings sharing at least one parent or legal guardian. All siblings must book a paid package within the same enrolment cycle. Eligibility may be conditional on documentary proof, which we may request at any time.

9.4

Sibling discount, waiver. By accepting the sibling discount, each participating sibling waives the right to apply any Coupon Code, referral reward, seasonal promotion, partner discount or other promotional benefit to the same booking. A conflicting code applied at checkout is disregarded; the sibling discount prevails.

9.5

Referral program. Referral rewards apply only after the referred client has paid in full for a paid package, with a holding period as stated in the referral terms, and cannot be combined with a sibling discount, a Coupon Code or any other Promotion on the same booking.

9.6

Coupon codes. Each Coupon Code is valid for the package(s), client segment and time window specified. Coupon Codes are personal, non-transferable, single-use (unless stated otherwise), have no cash value and may not be sold, resold or exchanged.

9.7

Expiry. Every Promotion expires on the date stated in the offer, or sixty (60) days after issuance if no date is stated. Expired Promotions cannot be reinstated, extended or applied retroactively.

9.8

Modification. We may modify, suspend or terminate any Promotion at any time on a forward-looking basis without prior notice. Bookings already paid for under a valid, unexpired Promotion are honoured at the agreed price.

9.9

Abuse and clawback. We may refuse, suspend, cancel or claw back any Promotion obtained or used through misrepresentation, multiple or fake accounts, code-sharing, stacking workarounds, coordination between unrelated clients or any other breach. In such cases we may charge the difference up to the full standard price and suspend access. The client remains liable for work already performed.

9.10

Third-party costs. Discounted prices exclude taxes, statutory fees and third-party costs the client pays directly (embassy fees, blocked-account deposits, university and language-school fees, insurance premiums). Promotions reduce only the Laghbani Consulting service fee.

9.11

No cash value. Promotions have no cash value, are non-transferable and may not be redeemed against unrelated services. A Promotion not used during its validity period is forfeited.

9.12

Refunds with Promotions. Where a refund is due on a booking that used a Promotion, the refund is calculated on the actual price paid (after the Promotion), not the standard price. A Promotion used on a refunded booking is consumed and not restored.

9.13

Order of precedence. If any conflict exists between an individual Promotion's fine print and this Section 9, this Section 9 prevails, except where the individual Promotion imposes stricter limits, in which case the stricter limits apply.

10. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

10.1

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules.

10.2

The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland.

11. Final Provisions

11.1

Should any provision be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain unaffected. The invalid provision is replaced by a valid one that most closely matches its economic purpose.

11.2

Laghbani Consulting may modify these Terms at any time on a forward-looking basis. The latest version is always available on our website. Continued use of our Services after publication constitutes acceptance.

11.3

Notices to Laghbani Consulting must be sent in writing to the email below. Notices to the client are sent to the email on file in the Portal account.
